The CASF program began in 2007. Since its inception, CASF teachers have been young adults from the community participating in a work-study. Teachers work at CASF during the day, and pursue their university degrees at night. Since the goal is for all of our students to graduate from high school and pursue higher education, the work-study program makes our teachers excellent role models for the students that they teach.

My name is Daniel Lucio and I am 19 years old. I consider myself an active person!! I am a fan of horror and action movies. I am the oldest of 6 siblings. I study at the University of Salesiana and am majoring in AUDITING. I really like math and I know this will be an excellent field of work for me.

My goal is to finish my university studies and eventually get a PHD. This will secure my future. It will be a lot of work but I know I can achieve this goal.

It's my second year working at CASF and I've fallen even more in love with the program and with all the students. Without a doubt it was the best option for me after high school, and it is the best thing that has happened to me in my life so far.

My goal is to see all of our CASF students make it to graduation and still continue studying. Knowing that I am part of their future makes me want to achieve my own professional goals even more!

(Daniel is a CASF alum! He graduated from his high school in February 2018 as class valedictorian and joined the CASF teaching team shortly thereafter. Can you help him meet his goals?)
